Un homenaje a la Aviación y todos los que forman parte de ella. Una técnica de Fotografía artesanal venida directamente del Siglo XIX. Sólo sales, papel, negativos y la luz del Sol para generar esta selección de cianotipias artesanales de las aeronaves del Museo del Aire y del Espacio del Ejército del Aire y del Espacio de España.
Dos instituciones como hilo conductor, el Museo del Aire del Ejército del Aire y del Espacio, donde se preserva y se da a conocer la Historia de la Aviación y Construcciones Aeronáuticas S.A., una compañía pionera con más de cien años a sus espaldas. Un nexo de unión en las aeronaves que fueron diseñadas, fabricadas, modificadas o revisadas en C.A.S.A. y preservadas en el Museo.
Mostrar una nueva forma de ver esas aeronaves basada en la técnica fotográfica que se empleaba para duplicar los planos que se utilizaron para su construcción. Una vuelta a casa mostrando hoy cómo comenzaron la Fotografía y la Aviación.
Esta exposición ha sido posible gracias a la colaboración decidida del Museo del Aire y del Espacio del Ejército del Aire y del Espacio de España, la Asociación Amigos del Museo del Aire-AAMA (@aamaespana https://www.aama.es/ ), el Servicio Histórico y Cultural del Ejército del Aire y del Espacio ( @ejercitodelaire ), Consulta Psicológica Despertares ( @consultadespertares https://www.consultadespertares.es/ ) y por supuesto el Colectivo de Pintura Leganés ( @colectivodepinturaleganes ).
A tribute to Aviation and to all those who are part of it. A handcrafted photographic technique brought directly from the 19th century. Just salts, paper, negatives, and sunlight are used to produce this selection of artisanal cyanotypes of the aircraft from the Air and Space Museum of the Spanish Air and Space Force.
Two institutions serve as the common thread: the Air and Space Museum of the Spanish Air and Space Force, where the history of aviation is preserved and shared, and Construcciones Aeronáuticas S.A. (C.A.S.A.), a pioneering company with over a hundred years of legacy. A powerful connection is found in those aircraft designed, built, modified, or maintained by C.A.S.A. and now preserved in the Museum.
This exhibition offers a new way of seeing these aircraft—through the photographic technique once used to duplicate the blueprints from which they were built. A homecoming that shows how both Photography and Aviation began.

Siempre buscamos lugares lejanos para encontrar un inacabable torrente de fotos que realizar. Esta exposición trata justo de lo contrario, de volver la mirada para buscar el asombro en lo familiar, en nuestro propio entorno. Habla de una calle de Leganés que no es menos que una de Nueva York. Habla de sentir la misma fascinación que los grandes fotógrafos sintieron por París, Londres, etc. y volcarla en fotografías que engrandezcan nuestras calles y a los que las damos vida. Busca fascinar a los que no conocen Leganés y descubrir otra forma de mirar a los que le conocemos bien.

We are always seeking the farest places to take photos. This exhibition is just the opposite. It’s about to look to your own town. It’s about a street from Leganés that is not less visual than a New York street. It’s about the fascination of the greater photographers for London, Paris…. but in your neighbourhood. I try to photograph its common architecture the same way that the most astonishing monument. Leganés is a commuter town close to Madrid (Spain). During the 70’s grews from 5.000 to 186.000 citizens with the baby boomers. Its architecture and uncountable flats buildings maybe it’s not the most beautiful but is very representative and you can recognize it everywhere. If you want to know who are the People from Madrid and the spanish real people you must discover our commuter towns at ‘the other Leganés’.
